Prison Religious Rehabilitation (PRR) Project
PRR is a two years UNODC funded project endeavoring at promoting the adoption of a common message and approach towards preventing & responding to radicalism and violent extremism in prisons.
Under this program CIPK isenhancing the capacity of prison imams and Officers on countering/preventing the spread of extremisms ideology within the facility as well as to build resilience among the inmate community at Shimo la Tewa and Kamiti prisons.
CIPK is also developing and promoting alternative narratives that counter the ones used by the radical/extremists, this is to initiate an attitudinal change process that will eventually lead to adoption of anti-extremism actions and build resilience among the inmates
